Angel Wars by Stephen Quayle: Anakim or Anakin?

There is a new book out this month from Gigantologist, End-Times alarmist, and urban survivalist, Stephen Quayle: Angel Wars: Past, Present, and Future:

Angel Wars - Stephen Quayle

Angel Wars – Stephen Quayle

Who knew that the Forces of Light had lightsabers?

The comments accompanying publicity for the book are great – although I very much doubt that those who were quoted even know about the book.

All of the boundaries are up for grabs. All of the boundaries that have defined us as human beings, boundaries between a human being and an animal and between a human being and a super human being or a god.
- Dr. Leon R. Kass, former Chairman of the President’s Council on Bioethics (San Francisco Chronicle, 20 October 2002)

So Kass preempts Derrida and Agamben on recent theorization of the animal (and divine)-human divide. (The “President’s Council on Bioethics” is one of George W. Bush’s atavistic creations, set up in order to oppose or delay stem-cell research.)

Here’s another quote used in the publicity:

Ancient history and legend, as well as the Bible, attest to the fact that there were once giants in the earth… Does their existence relate to the sins of the fallen angels who cohabited with women? Could such mind-boggling, incredible events occur again during this end-time?
- William F. Dankenbring

Dankenbring is a one-time Armstrongian Church of God member, who split off to form Triumph Prophetic Ministries.

    Ok, two things …
One, is that white angel dude wearing really bad fashion? (cream shirt, beige pants, silver belt, not a good look …)
And two, is he aiming his lightsaber at the naughty angel’s private little lightsaber? Both their crotch areas are tastefully covered up … But I think there’s more going on here …
And, ok, three … blurb for the book says it “shows how you can prepare for the monumental war that will determine whether you’ll retain your freedom and whether your children and grandchildren will grow up as serf or free people. Or even whether they’ll live or die.” Love it.

Actually, the flaming sword of the Bible predated the light saber by about five thousand years. Just saying.
